UN and Turkey agree on October 31 to allow vessels to use humanitarian corridor

Representatives of the UN and Turkey are negotiating with the Russian delegation and continue to look for solutions for the full implementation of the “grain initiative”, ProAgro Group reports with reference to the post of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine on Facebook.

According to the proposal of the Joint Coordination Center (JCC), representatives of the UN and Turkey provide for the work of 10 inspection teams to inspect 40 vessels. This proposal was accepted by the representatives of Ukraine. Representatives of the Russian Federation were informed.

Thus, today 12 vessels with 354.5 thousand tons of agricultural products left the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Yuzhny to the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe. Among them is the bulk carrier IKARIA ANGEL with Ukrainian wheat for Ethiopia, which is on the verge of famine. This is the seventh vessel chartered under the World Food Program under the auspices of the UN.

At the same time, the passage to Ukrainian ports for loading is allowed to 4 vessels, which the day before passed the inspection of the JCC with the participation of all parties, including representatives of Russia.

Earlier, the Ministry of Infrastructure reported that as of October 30, the Ukrainian side did not have permits from the Joint Coordination Center to pass through the safe corridor and conduct inspections, which is why 218 vessels are actually blocked at their current positions.
