“Ukrzaliznytsia” has introduced the process of digitalization of border crossings and transshipment terminals.
This was informed by Valeriy Tkachov, Deputy Director of the Department of Commercial Work of Ukrzaliznytsia, as “ProAgro Group” reports with the reference to URM.
According to him, UZ introduces the classifier of all transshipment terminals at the border and points of transshipment of carts (on both sides of the border). It is done for further improvement of transportation planning
“The classifier will include the terminal’s handling capacity, its description and its individual number. The information from the classifier will be used in the transportation planning process. The implementation process has already been launched,” noted Valery Tkachev.
Ukrzaliznytsia is sure that the implementation of these initiatives will make the transportation planning process transparent and predictable. The carrier continues to increase the volume of grain-carriers’ transfers at the border crossings. Now the average daily number has exceeded 400 cars.
