In 2016 Ukraine has exported 40,249 MMT of grain crops in the total amount of 6,075 bil USD.
This is reported by “Ports of Ukraine” with reference to State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
In particular, 17,9 MMT of wheat was exported at $2,72 bil USD value in 2016. The major exports destinations of wheat were: Egypt – $365,81 mln (13,46% of the total wheat exports), Indonesia -$330,16 mln (12,15%) and Thailand – $300,04 mln (11,04%). Export of wheat to other countries amounted to $1,721 bil (63,35%). The share of wheat in the total export earnings constituted 7,47%.
Export of maize amounted to 17,285 MMT at 2,654 bil USD value. The largest export shipments were carried out to China – $422,6 mil (15,92% of all maize exports), Egypt – $388,74 mil (14,65%) and Spain – $322,1 mil (12,13%). Export of maize to other countries amounted to $1,521 bil (57,3%). The share of maize in the total export earnings constituted 7,3%.
Export of barley amounted to 4,801 MMT at 665,93 million dollars value. Major export shipments were carried out to Saudi Arabia -$279,68 mil (42% of the total export of barley), Libya – $110,68 mil (16,62%) and China – $41,54 mil (6,24%). Export of barley to other countries amounted to $234,02 mil (35,14%). The share of barley in the total export earnings amounted to 1.83%.
