Exports of wheat flour since the beginning of the year amounted to about $12.5 million

According to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, during the first two months of 2017, Ukrainian exporters supplied to the foreign markets slightly less than 60 KMT of wheat flour. The aggregate value of these supplies exceeded $ 12.54 million.

Given the small volumes of imports over the same period, the balance of foreign trade in wheat flour for the first two months of 2017 was positive and amounted to $12.45 million in monetary terms.

Over the past five years, the foreign trade in wheat flour has generated revenues of about $341.7 million and shows a positive trend. If in 2012 foreign trade operations with this product provided a net income of $48.25 million, then by the end of 2016 this figure reached $73.82 million.

In turn, according to ProAgro, the key importers of wheat flour of Ukrainian production in 2016 were the countries of Asia, in particular China and Korea, which in 2016 accounted for more than 31% of the total exports of such products. On the third place by the value of imports is neighboring Moldova (8.2%). It should be noted that the geography of export of wheat flour of Ukrainian production is very wide.
