As of 18 of April 2017, about 2.6 million ha were sowed with grain and leguminous crops (36% of the forecast of 7.2 million ha).
In addition, the amount of early grain and leguminous crops were sowed on 2.2 million ha (94% of the forecast), of which:
– spring wheat – 155 thousand ha (86% of the forecast of 180 thousand ha);
– spring barley – 1.5 mln ha (92% of the forecast of 1.6 million ha);
– oats – 192 thousand ha (93% of the forecast of 207 thousand ha);
– peas – 372 thousand ha (113% of the forecast of 330 thousand ha);
– corn – 341 thousand ha (8% of the forecast of 4.5 million ha).
In addition:
– sugar beets – 263 thousand ha (90% of the forecast of 293 thousand ha);
– sunflower – 1.3 million ha (24% of the 5.4 million ha);
– soybeans – 31 thousand ha (2% of the forecast of 1.9 million ha).
