Under the conditions of continuing active military operations in Ukraine “Epicenter Agro” holding, which is part of a group of companies “Epicenter”, managed to achieve the provision of seeds and start the sowing campaign in safe regions. This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the information of the company.
Because of the difficult situation in the country, as of mid-March, the seed supply of the holding was quite low and amounted to 73% for corn and 24% for sunflower. Agrarians reconsider the structure of crops, adding buckwheat, barley, corn and wheat to provide the country with cereals for its own food security.
Epicenter Agro” holding has performed great amount of work in quite a short period of time in order to provide the start of sowing season: the negotiations on the change of suppliers and restructuring of own logistics have been held. Due to this fact the holding has managed to achieve a 98% supply of seeds.
Life of the farmers was significantly easier due to cancellation of corn licensing. Previously, the license for each contract had to wait almost two weeks.
There is still an acute problem of diesel fuel supply, which specialists of the holding are working on daily. Equally important is the problem of funding the sowing season. However, for today the company manages to gradually solve it.
