IMC closed a dairy farm that was under occupation in Chernihiv region

IMC, which had a modern dairy farm in the Chernihiv region on the border with Belarus, had to close it after the occupation.

This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to Infagro.

It is noted that the farm was occupied from the first days of the full-scale invasion and was cut off from the supply of feed, veterinary drugs, there were no opportunities to sell milk.

“The occupation had a very bad impact on the cows, who did not have the usual diet and care. After this period, most of the livestock was sick and no longer suitable for further milk production. Therefore, the farm had to be closed”, – said Alex Lissitsa, CEO of IMC.

According to him, in the future in Ukraine will survive primarily small family farms that keep no more than 100-150 heads, as they have a very simple management system.

“As for the revival of industrial dairy farming in our northern sparsely populated regions, I have great doubts, because there is no one to work on farms, there is no place to process milk and where to sell it,” said Alex Lissitsa.
