For six months Risoil has exported more than 18 thousand tons of rapeseed in containers. The main destinations were Nepal and Bangladesh, ProAgro Group reports, citing the company’s Facebook message.
“The share of container shipments is about 30% of total exports of 63 thousand tons,” – informed the trader of Risoil Ukraine Konstantin Tkach.
He stressed that shipments to Nepal in general can only be made by containers. This is due to its remoteness from seaports and complicated logistics.
Nepal and Bangladesh process rapeseed for further use in cooking. At the same time, in Europe, where more than 80% of the Ukrainian rapeseed crop is exported, it is used to make biodiesel.
“Thanks to reliable partnership relations Risoil plans to increase export in these directions up to 25 thousand tons already by the end of the marketing year,” – said the company’s director Dmytro Minov.
