On November 30, the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business (UCAB) has announced a new presidium for the next two years and elected new leaders.
Petro Melnyk, co-owner and executive director of Agricom Group, was elected as president by an overwhelming majority of UCAB members (more than 94%), ProAgro Group reports, citing the company.
Petro Melnyk will replace Alex Lissitsa, who is the founder of the Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business.
Kateryna Rybachenko, general director of Agro-Region, became vice president.
“The UCAB today is more than just association. It is a community that has a significant impact on the Ukrainian agribusiness industry. So our focus is not changing. We plan to develop the Club, establish business contacts between the leaders of the agribusiness community and the international companies that are members of the Association. Also we will continue to cover their interests in the best way and build a dialogue with the public authorities. All this should contribute to the development of the agro-industrial sector and improve its performance”, – said Petro Melnyk.
