As of August 19 agricultural producers of Sumy region threshed 204 thousand hectares of early grain and leguminous crops, which is 87% of their projected harvesting area.
There were harvested 1023 thousand tons of grain at an average yield of 50.1 centners / ha, reports “ProAgro Group” referring to the information of the Department of Agricultural Development of Sumy Regional State Administration.
In particular, agrarians of the region threshed:
- wheat – 876.1 thousand tons from the area of 189.9 thousand hectares (89%), yield 51 c/ha;
- barley – 132,2 thousand tons from 29,2 thousand ha (85%), yield – 45,3 centners/ha;
- peas – 14.65 thousand tons from 5.2 thousand ha (100%), yield 28.1 c/ha.
The total area of grain group of crops in Sumy region to be harvested this year is 544.8 thousand ha.
