Grain growers in almost all the regions of Ukraine have already started gathering early grain and leguminous crops: 417.3 thousand hectares (3%) have already been threshed, “ProAgro Group” cites the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
As of this date, 1.1 million tons of grain of the new crop have been threshed at a yield of 26.3 c/ha, including:
- winter barley – 717.8 thousand tons from 254.3 thousand hectares with the yield of 28.2 c/ha;
- winter wheat – 355.8 thousand tons from 147.9 thousand hectares with the yield of 24.1 c/ha;
- peas – 24.6 thousand tons from 15.1 thousand hectares with yields of 16.2 c/ha.
Moreover, agricultural producers of eight regions have begun harvesting of winter rape, which is harvested on the area of 43.5 thousand hectares (4%), 67.3 tons of threshed seeds at a yield of 15.5 c/ha.
