Consumer prices in September increased by 1.9% – State Statistics Service

Inflation in the consumer market in September 2022 compared to August 2022 was 1.9%, since the beginning of the year – 21.8%, compared to September 2021 – 24.6%.

This was reported by the State Statistics Service, ProAgro Group reports with reference to Ukrinform.

According to the State Statistics Service, in the consumer market in September, prices for food and soft drinks increased by 1.9%. Eggs have risen in price the most (by 22.7%). Prices for lard, fruit, rice, sugar, soft drinks, fish and fish products, meat and meat products increased by 12.1-3.1%. At the same time, prices for vegetables fell by 10.4%, and for processed cereals – by 4.3%.

Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 1.1%, including tobacco products – by 1.3%, alcoholic beverages – by 0.8%.

According to the NBU, the inflation forecast for the end of 2022 may be revised downward and amount to less than 30%.
