Corn exports continue to outpace supplies of other grains abroad

As of November 4, Ukraine exported 13 870 thsd tonnes of grains and legumes from the beginning of 2022/23 MY (July-June). This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the information of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

According to the State Customs Service, the current volume of grain exports is 6.5 million tons less than last season.

Wheat supplies as of the reporting date totaled 5 211 thsd tonnes, down 7.6 mln tonnes compared to 2021/22 MY. Barley was shipped abroad 1 164 thsd tonnes, down 3.3 mln tonnes. Corn supplies abroad amounted to 7 440 thsd tonnes, up 4.6 mln tonnes compared with the previous season. Also, 6.3 thousand tons of rye were supplied abroad against 69.9 thousand tons on the same date last season.

In addition, 40.3 thousand tons of grain flour (including 37.5 thousand tons of wheat) have been exported, which is 3.8 thousand tons less than the corresponding figure of the previous season.

Since the beginning of this month, grain exports amounted to 668 thousand tons, including wheat – 213 thousand tons, barley – 58 thousand tons, corn – 389 thousand tons. Flour exports amounted to 2 thousand tons.
