As of October 7, 9 625 thsd tonnes of grain and leguminous crops have been exported from Ukraine since the beginning of 2022/23 MY (July-June). This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the information of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
According to the State Customs Service, the current volume of grain exports is 5.75 million tons less than last season.
Wheat supplies as of the reporting date totaled 3 461 thsd tonnes, down 6.3 mln tonnes compared to 2021/22 MY. Barley was shipped abroad in the amount of 844 thsd tonnes, down 3.1 mln tonnes. Corn supplies abroad amounted to 5 284 thsd tonnes, up 3.8 mln tonnes compared with the previous season. Also, 4.6 thousand tons of rye were supplied abroad against 50.8 thousand tons on the same date last season.
In addition, 25.7 thousand tons of grain flour (including 23.2 thousand tons of wheat) have been exported, which is 11.8 thousand tons less than the corresponding figure of the previous season.
During the first week of this month, grain exports amounted to 932 thousand tons, including wheat – 420 thousand tons, barley – 70 thousand tons, corn – 440 thousand tons, rye – 0.3 thousand tons. Flour exports amounted to 1.1 thousand tons.
