Export of dairy products continues to decline, imports continue to grow

The results of Ukraine’s foreign trade in dairy products for the year are disappointing. Exports of most commodity items decreased by 10-20%. And imports of major dairy products increased by 20-30%.

This is reported by the ProAgro Group with reference to INFAGRO.

At the same time, export-import analysis for the last month of the last year shows that there were unpredictable changes in the export volumes of some dairy products. For example, export volumes of butter, casein, powdered milk, and canned milk were much higher than in December 2020.

There was also no reduction in cheese imports. December saw another record volume of imports, an additional 29% over December 2020. Imports of whole-milk products also increased. In addition, a lot of dried dairy products were purchased, notes the publication.
