In January-October 2021 the foreign trade turnover of food products and agricultural products in monetary terms amounted to $26.97 billion, which is 19% higher than during the same period last year.
This is evidenced by the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, reports ProAgro Group referring to Agravery.
During the reporting period, exports rose by 19% – to $20.9 billion. Imports of food and agricultural products also rose by 19% to $6.08 billion.
It should be noted that the share of export of food products and agricultural products in total exports of the country was 38.3%. Most of the export falls on cereals – 43.4%, oils – 24.5%, oilseeds – 9.2%, oilcake and solid wastes from extraction of vegetable fats and oils – 5.8%.
The top 10 countries to which Ukrainian agricultural products were supplied in January-October included:
China – 15.1%;
India – 6.6%;
The Netherlands – 6.5%;
Egypt – 5.7%;
Turkey – 4.5%;
Poland – 3.7%;
Spain – 3.6%;
Indonesia, 3.6%;
Germany – 3.3%;
Italy – 2.4%.
