Exports through the “grain corridor” decreased by almost 40%

During the 17th week of the “grain corridor” from November 21 to November 27, 2022, 601.5 thousand tons of agro-industrial products were exported through the seaports of Odesa region, which is 39% less than shipment through this channel a week ago.

This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the information of the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club.

At the same time, the number of ships that were loaded during this week was 18, which is 13 units less than the previous week. Currently, the capabilities of the seaports of the Odesa region are used only by half. All this is due to the artificial delay of inspections by the Russian side, which leads to the formation of queues of ships for control and a significant reduction in the capacity of this channel.

The largest export volumes during the 17th week of work were

  • corn (53% of exports for this period);
  • wheat (21%);
  • barley (13%).

Ukrainian products went to the countries of Europe (Spain, the Netherlands, Italy and others) and Asia (Turkey, China, Israel and others).

In total, from the beginning of the “grain corridor” from August 1 to November 27, 2022, 12.2 million tons of agricultural products were exported.
