As of May 30, 46 932 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops have been exported from Ukraine since the beginning of 2021/22 (July-June). This is reported by “ProAgro Group” with reference to the information of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
According to the State Customs Service, the current volume of grain exports is nearly 5.1 million tons more than last season.
Wheat shipments on the reporting date amounted to 18,568 thousand tons, which is 2,693 thousand tons more than in 2020/21 MY. Barley was shipped abroad in the amount of 5,679 thousand tons, an increase of 1,533 thousand tons. There were exported 161.9 thousand tons of rye against 3.7 thousand tons in the previous season. Exports of corn amounted to 22,218 thousand tons, which is 1,080 thousand tons more than the previous season.
In addition, 71 thousand tons of cereal flour (including 69.4 thousand tons of wheat flour) were exported on the reporting date, which is 40.5 tons less than the corresponding index of the previous season.
Since the beginning of this month, grain exports amounted to 1 063 thousand tons (in May 2021 – 2 809 thousand tons), including wheat – 42 thousand tons, barley – 11 thousand tons and corn – 1 007 thousand tons. Export of flour is 1.4 thousand tons.
