Grain harvesting updates in Ukraine as of November 20

The harvesting of grain and leguminous crops is close to completion. It has been carried out on area of 14.9 million hectares, the yield is 51.6 centners/ha, 76.7 million tons of grain have been threshed, ProAgro Group reports this, citing the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

The leaders in threshing are Vinnytsia region, which threshed almost 5.9 million tons of grain, Poltava – 5.2 million tons, Chernihiv – 5.1 million tons and Odessa regions – 5 million tons, and the biggest yield is recoeded in Khmelnytsky oblast – 80.2 c/ha.

Corn was harvested on area of 4.4 million hectares (80% across Ukraine) and 31.8 million tons of grain were threshed at a yield of 72.2 centners per hectare. Agrarians from Volyn, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Kherson regions have finished its harvesting, and the highest yield is recorded in Khmelnytsky region – 115 c/ha.

Buckwheat was harvested on area of 83,5 thousand hectares, 110.7 tons of grain were threshed at a yield of 13.3 c/ha. Its highest yield was reported in Vinnytsia region – 15.9 c/ha. The harvest of millet is also completed. It was threshed on the area of 77.7 thousand hectares, 184.7 tons were threshed, the yield reached 23.8 c/ha.

Sunflower was harvested from the area of 6.442 million hectares (99% across Ukraine), yielding 24.5 c/ha, 15.8 million tons of sunflower seeds were threshed. It has been harvested in 17 regions, and the highest yield was recorded in Khmelnytsky region – 34.3 c/ha.

The soybean was harvested from the area of nearly 1.3 million hectares, at a yield of 26.4 c/ha, 3.4 million tons of seeds were threshed. Harvesting is completed in 22 regions, and the highest yield was recorded in Khmelnytsky region – 33.7 c/ha.
