In July 2022 Ukraine exported 2.66 million tons of grains, legumes, oilseeds and oilseed products (excluding canola), which is 492.7 thousand tons or 22.7% more than in the previous month. This is reported by “ProAgro Group” with reference to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
Exports of wheat last month rose by more than 3 times – up to 412 thousand tons, compared to 138.4 thousand tons, which were exported in June. At the same time, it is significantly less than the 960 thousand tons of wheat exported from Ukraine in July 2021 at working seaports of the country.
Ukraine also shipped 183 thousand tons of barley for export, which is an order of magnitude higher than the volume of 26 thousand tons of this grain exported a month earlier in connection with the beginning of the harvesting campaign of early grains. However, this is less than the 1.1 million tons of barley shipped out of the country last July.
Actual corn exports rose by 84,700 tons in July compared to June to 1.1 million tons. For comparison, in July 2021 corn export was 960 thousand tons, because traditionally at this time Ukrainian corn season was coming to an end. Corn continues to dominate in the export of agrarian products, its delivery in July made about 41% of total export of cereals, leguminous plants, oil-bearing crops and products of their processing not including rape. The share of corn began to decrease with the beginning of the season and the new harvest.
