Zhytomyr region has harvested about 50% of early grains and leguminous crops, “ProAgro Group” reports referring to the information of the regional state administration.
As of August 8, according to the operative data early grains and leguminous crops have been harvested on the area of 92.8 thousand hectares, which is 43% of the planned. There were threshed 355,1 thousand tons of grain, the average yield is 38 centners / ha. In particular, there were harvested:
winter barley on an area of 11.0 thousand hectares, or 99% of the planned, threshed 42.9 thousand tons, the average yield is 39 c/ha;
winter wheat – 66,9 thousand hectares, or 56% of the planned, at an average yield of 40 centners/ha, 267,6 thousand tons of grain have been threshed
spring barley – 8,200 ha, or 38% of planned, 27,900 tons of grain were threshed, average yield being 34 centners/ha
oats – 3,500 ha, or 12% of the planned, with an average yield of 20 c/ha 7,000 tons were threshed;
peas – 1,7 thousand ha, or 100% of planned, 4,1 thousand tons were threshed; average yield is 24 centners/ha.
Vegetable rape was threshed on the area of 33,5 thsd ha or 82% of planned, the average yield is 25 centners/ha, 83,6 tons of seeds werre threshed.
