Khmelnytskyy oblast has the highest yield of corn, soybeans and sunflowers

Agrarians continue to harvest grain and leguminous crops, which as of October 21 was carried out on the area of 12.2 million hectares, or 76% of the forecast, with a yield of 46.2 c/ha. According to “ProAgroGroup” with the reference to the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food, 56.3 million tons of grain have been threshed in the country.

The leaders in threshing are Odessa oblast, which threshed almost 4.5 million tons of grain, Kharkiv oblast – 4.4 million tons, Dnipropetrovsk oblast – 4.3 million tons and Khmelnytskyy oblast with 61.1 c/ha of crop yield.

Corn was threshed on 1.7 million hectares (32% across Ukraine), almost 11.2 million tons of corn were threshed at a yield of 63.4 centners per hectare. Mykolaiv agrarians threshed most of the area – 87% of the forecast, and the highest yield is in Khmelnytsky region – 110.6 c/ha.

Millet harvest is almost complete. It was threshed on the area of 76.3 c/ha (98% across Ukraine), producing 179 tons with a yield of 23.4 c/ha.

Sunflower was harvested from the area of 5.4 million hectares (83% across Ukraine), the yield reached 23.6 c/ha, 12.7 million tons of sunflower seeds were threshed. The harvesting is completed in Zakarpattya, Rivne and Kherson oblasts, and the highest yield is in Khmelnytskyy region – 34.4 c/ha.

Soybean is harvested from the area of almost 1 million hectares (78% across Ukraine), the yield is 26 centners/hectare, 2.6 million tons of seeds were threshed. It has been harvested in Donetsk, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv oblasts, and the highest yield is in Khmelnytskyy oblast – 33.7 c/ha.
