In mid-October the majority of commercial batches of live pigs were sold at 48-49 UAH/kg. This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the Association of Pig Breeders of Ukraine.
At the same time, prices higher or lower than the mentioned marks were reported here and there. However, such cases were situational changes due to the heterogeneity of supply and demand for pork in different regions.
Now, most domestic swine farms note the planned course of sales and see no reason to revise the selling price next week. The price corridor of 48-49 UAH/kg remains a benchmark.
