Due to favorable weather conditions, agricultural producers in all regions of Ukraine are sowing winter rape. As of September 12, it was sown on 841 thousand hectares, or 87% of the forecast, according to “ProAgro Group” with reference to the information of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
Winter rape has been sown by farmers in 7 regions: Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Transcarpathian, Rivne, Ternopil and Bukovina.
Agricultural producers in almost all regions have started sowing winter crops, which were sown on 157 thousand hectares, or 3.3% of the forecast:
wheat – 141 thousand hectares, or 3.5% of the forecast;
barley – 7.1 thousand hectares, or 1.1% of the forecast
rye – 5.4 thousand hectares, or 6.4% of the forecast.
Over the previous week, 149 thousand hectares of winter crops were sown. Most of the winter grain crops were sown by agrarians of Chernihiv region – 21.3 thousand hectares, or 12.2% of the forecast.
