Agrarians of all regions of Ukraine are completing the sowing of winter crops, ProAgro Group reports with reference to the information of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
In total, 4.5 million hectares were sown, or 94% of the forecast. In particular:
- wheat was sown on 3.8 million hectares, or 94%.
- barley – 613 thousand hectares, or 91%.
- rye – 79.2 thousand hectares, or 93%.
Over the previous week, 4.6 thousand hectares of winter crops were sown.
Agrarians of Vinnytsia, Volyn, Kyiv, Poltava, Ternopil, Chernihiv, Bukovina regions have completed sowing of winter grain crops, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Transcarpathia are close to completion.
Earlier, agricultural producers of all regions of Ukraine completed sowing of winter rape, which was sown on 999 thousand hectares, or 104% of the forecast.
