Vessel Alppila with 18 thousand tons of Ukrainian corn has arrived on Monday morning, June 13, in Spanish port La Coruña. This is the first consignment of Ukrainian corn that reached northwestern Spain by sea after the full-scale war and Russian Navy’s blockade of Ukraine’s ports on the Black Sea.
This is reported by ProAgro Group, citing CNN.
Bruno Beade, director of the importing company Agafac, said that it usually imports 1 million tons of corn annually for cattle feed, and 40 percent of that volume comes from Ukraine. The grain, which arrived in Spain, was loaded onto a ship at the Polish port of Swinoujscie on the Baltic Sea.
