The Ministry of Agrarian Policy predicts a decrease in buckwheat prices

Due to the large amount of buckwheat in Ukraine, its price is expected to go down significantly.

This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi during the telethon, “ProAgro Group” reports with reference to “Grain”.

According to the minister, more buckwheat has been sown than expected, and price fluctuations are temporary.

“There are great expectations that prices will be much lower than everyone expects,” said Nikolay Solsky.

So far in Ukraine buckwheat is in short supply and demand is great. Back in July buckwheat cost 115 UAH/kg. In the stores it costs 90-100 hryvnias per kilo. Buckwheat in chain stores Auchan costs 84.90 UAH/kg, in the chain “Silpo” it is sold for 88.99 UAH/kg, in the supermarket chain “ATB” buckwheat is offered for 91.90 UAH/kg.
