Three ports will be opened for Ukrainian grain exports

Grain exports from the territory of Ukraine will take place through three ports – “Odesa”, “Pivdennyi” and “Chornomorsk”. This was announced by the Member of Parliament, a member of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks with Russia Rustem Umerov, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to the Suspilne.

“The export will take place through three ports: “Odesa”, “Pivdennyi” and “Chornomorsk”, but in the future, we hope, we can also expand the list. All recommendations of the maritime forces, the armed forces must be respected. There are safe corridors, routes that we have developed together with the military, and all civilian ships will go through these routes. We will sell grain to everybody. And all vessels that are free to follow these guidelines can come to us,” Umerov said.

He added that compliance with safety rules will be monitored by a UN-led monitoring group based in Istanbul.

“No Russian vessels should be in our waters. We don’t trust them. Even if they sign an agreement with the UN. This is an aggressor country, and until they withdraw to their borders, they cannot be trusted. But with regard to these corridors, we have developed a mechanism where there will be no control of these vessels at sea. Only the monitoring group will work with its mandate, and they will only check that there are no weapons in these ships”, – said the MP.
