Ukraine agrees with Israel on export of beef, cherries, blueberries and apples

Ukraine and Israel have agreed to strengthen trade and economic relations and develop long-term cooperation in priority areas. This was discussed during a meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which was held in Israel, reports ProAgro Group, citing Derzhprodspozhyvsluzhba.

Chairman of DPSS Vladislava Magaletska, who is a member of the Ukrainian delegation, said that over the past three quarters, growth in exports of Ukrainian goods to Israel amounted to 7%, and growth in imports – to 13%. At the same time, 44% of the total bilateral trade is agricultural products.

“The potential for economic and trade cooperation between Ukraine and Israel is very large. In 2021 we see an intensification of cooperation between our countries and an increase in trade. I am convinced that this trend will continue in the future. We have to make every effort so that a free trade zone will work to its full capacity, “- said Vladislava Magaletska.

Now the parties are working on issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation, among them – the export of Ukrainian beef, the opening of the Israeli market for sweet cherries and blueberries, as well as the implementation of test shipments of Ukrainian apples.
