Ukraine has exported about 1.5 million tons of agricultural products in a month of work of the “green” grain corridor. More than 60 ships left Ukrainian ports. Due to well coordinated work and support of international partners, there is a prospect of increasing export volumes.
It was reported by “ProAgro Group” with reference to the comment of Taras Vysotsky, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food.
As Vysotsky said, total exports in August is 4 million tons. While before the war it was 6 million. According to him, Ukraine in war conditions can increase the rate of exports up to 1 million tons monthly, and in September expect to export about 5 million tons of agricultural products.
“Export growth has a positive impact on the economy as a whole, ensures macroeconomic stability, and curbs inflation. Farmers can sell grain at a price higher than the cost of production. The agricultural sector creates hundreds of thousands of jobs. This means taxes to local budgets and the general budget. This ensures the stability of hryvnia. It is also important to increase the expert for foreign exchange earnings and a stable exchange rate “- said the First Deputy Minister.
