Sowing of winter grain crops is still in progress. Currently, 3.6 million hectares have already been sown, or 76% of the forecast, according to ProAgro Group, citing information from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
In particular, as of today, the following crops have been sown
wheat – 3.1 million hectares, or 79% of the forecast;
barley – 390 thousand hectares, or 58%;
rye – 74 thousand hectares, or 86%.
Over the previous week, 836 thousand hectares of winter crops were sown. Among the leaders are farmers of Mykolaiv and Odesa regions, they sowed almost 150 thousand hectares each.
Kyiv and Chernihiv regions have completed the sowing of winter grain crops, they sowed 141 thousand and 131 thousand hectares respectively. Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Poltava regions are close to completion.
Agricultural producers of all regions of Ukraine have completed sowing of winter rape, which was sown on 999 thousand hectares, or 104% of the forecast.
