Ukraine in 2021 received 154 notifications regarding exported grain products

During 2021 the State Consumer Service of Ukraine received 154 notifications from partner countries of Ukraine regarding phytosanitary requirements for grain products. Most notification messages about non-compliance of grain products were received from Indonesia and China on violations of phytosanitary norms during transportation of cargo.

According to “ProAgro Group,” this was reported by the State Consumer Service at the request of Latifundist.com.

“SCS notified ukrainian exporters and recommended to take measures to prevent further violations of phytosanitary requirements of partner countries of Ukraine in grain trade,” – said Deputy Chairman of the SCS on digital development, digital transformation and digitalization Anatoliy Vovnyuk.

Notifications were received from the following countries:

  • China – 73 cases;
  • Indonesia – 51 cases;
  • Belarus – 12 cases;
  • India – 12 cases;
  • Vietnam – 2 cases of Cirsium arvense (field thistle);
  • Pakistan – 2 cases of regulated pests;
  • Turkey – 1 case of Tilletia controversa (wheat dwarfism);
  • Thailand – 1 case of Corcyra cephalonica (rice moth) in wheat cargo.
