Ukraine in 2022 will export only 35% of last year’s volume of agricultural products

The war in Ukraine continues to have a devastating effect on the agricultural sector – serious disruptions are recorded in the supply chains of seeds and fertilizers, on which Ukrainian farmers depend. This is stated in the intelligence report of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain, reports “ProAgro Group”.

It is noted that Russia’s blockade of Odesa continues to severely limit grain exports from Ukraine. Because of this, agricultural exports this year are unlikely to amount to more than 35% of the total volume of 2021.

After the Russians fled from Snake Island, Russia said that the ball is now in Ukraine’s court to improve grain exports. Although, the agency stressed, it is the interference of Russians in Ukraine’s agricultural sector that continues to aggravate the global food crisis.
