According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukraine as of May 2, 2022 sowed spring grain and oilseeds on 4.7 million hectares, which amounts to 30.8% of the areas under spring crops in 2021 and only 60% of the areas sown as of May 6 last year.
This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the information of the Ukrainian Grain Association.
It is noted that the planned areas under spring crops and oilseeds this year will approximately amount to 11.45 million hectares, or 3.5-4 million hectares less than last year, due to Russia’s war against Ukraine, the occupation of territories and landmines.
