14 regions of Ukraine have already completed the harvesting of early crops. Kirovohrad, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk regions remain in the top three for the threshing of more than 2 million tons of grain. More than 1 million tons have been threshed in 11 regions.
ProAgro Group quotes the Ministry of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine as saying that the total figures for the harvesting of grain and leguminous crops are as follows: the area under crops – 6 726 thousand hectares (60%), 25.9 million tons threshed (yield – 38.4 centners / ha).
Also the sunflower, soybean and rapeseed harvest continues. Sunflower was harvested on an area of 251.4 thousand hectares, (5%) threshed 392 thousand tons of seeds at a yield of 15.6 centners/hectare. The area of harvested soybeans is 26.8 thousand hectares, (1.8%) threshed 70.9 thousand tons with a yield of 26.5 c/ha. Rape harvesting is carried out on an area of 1096 hectares (100%), threshed 3.1 million tons of seeds at a yield of 28.5 c/ha.
The season of digging sugar beets has begun. They have already been collected on an area of 820 hectares, (0.5%), which amounts to 42.9 thousand tons of sweet roots at a yield of 523 c/ha.
