Ukraine’s egg exports have almost halved since the beginning of the year

Export of food eggs since the beginning of the year amounted to 228 million eggs. This is 42% less than during the same period last year, ProAgro Group reported, citing the information of the Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine.

“The decrease in exports is associated with the military aggression of Russia, as a result of the occupation of territories and the destruction of production facilities, there was a decrease in their production. The blocking of maritime transport and the rising cost of logistics also have a negative impact on the volumes and financial performance of exporters,” – noted in the association.

The largest importers of Ukrainian eggs are the EU countries, Singapore, the UAE and Israel.
