Agricultural producers in all regions of Ukraine are completing the sowing of winter grain crops. As of the first week of November, they sowed 4.3 million hectares, or 90% of the forecast, according to “ProAgro Group” with reference to the information of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
In particular, there have been sown
wheat – 3.6 million hectares, or 91%;
barley – 568 thousand hectares, or 84%;
rye – 79 thousand hectares, or 92%.
Over the previous week, farmers sowed 228 thousand hectares of winter crops. Wheat and barley were planted on the largest areas in the Odesa region – 470 thousand hectares and 181 thousand hectares, respectively. The leader in sowing rye is currently Volyn – 18 thousand hectares.
Agrarians of Vinnytsia, Volyn, Kyiv, Ternopil and Bukovina regions have completed the sowing of winter crops, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Khmelnytsky and Chernihiv regions are close to completion.
Sowing of winter rape is completed in all regions, it was sown on 999 thousand hectares, or 104% of the forecast.
