Agricultural producers continue sowing winter crops, which have been sown on 4.4 million hectares, or 94% of the forecast, according to “ProAgro Group” with reference to the information of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
In particular, currently the following crops have been sown
wheat – 3.8 million hectares, or 94% of the forecast;
barley – 613 thousand hectares, or 91%;
rye – 79.2 thousand hectares, or 93%.
Over the previous week, 61 thousand hectares of winter crops were sown.
The leaders in sowing wheat are Odesa, Poltava and Khmelnytsky regions. Most rye was sown in Rivne region, and barley – in Odesa region.
Agrarians of Vinnytsia, Volyn, Kyiv, Poltava, Ternopil and Bukovyna regions have completed sowing of winter crops, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Kirovohrad, Lviv and Chernihiv regions are close to completion.
Earlier, all regions completed the sowing of winter rape, which was sown on 999 thousand hectares, or 104% of the forecast.
