The sowing of winter grain crops continues in Ukraine, 4.4 million hectares have been sown, or 92% of the forecast, according to ProAgro Group, citing information from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
In particular, the following crops were sown
- wheat – 3.7 million hectares, or 93%;
- barley – 600 thousand hectares, or 89%;
- rye – 79.1 thousand hectares, or 92%.
Over the previous week, farmers sowed 97.1 thousand hectares of winter crops for grain.
Agrarians of Vinnytsia, Volyn, Kyiv, Poltava, Ternopil and Bukovyna regions have completed sowing of winter grain crops. In the Kyiv region sown 164.1 thousand hectares, or 124.7% of the forecast. In the other five regions – 100%-101% of the forecast. Agrarians of Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky and Chernihiv regions are close to completing sowing.
Earlier, agricultural producers in all regions of Ukraine completed the sowing of winter rape, which was sown on 999 thousand hectares, or 104% of the forecast.
