Britain considers maritime convoy to export Ukrainian grain

Britain is coordinating with its allies a potential plan to send warships to the Black Sea to escort ships exporting Ukrainian grain.

This was stated by The Times, reports ProAgro Group, citing Interfax-Ukraine.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis discussed the creation of such a “protective corridor” from Odesa with British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, the newspaper notes.

According to the plan, “Allied naval forces will clear the area around the port of Russian mines to secure the transportation of vital products,” the newspaper writes.

According to the data, it is also planned to deploy long-range missiles in Ukraine “to deter any Russian attempts to sabotage the corridor.”

The day before, Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin thanked Denmark, which had promised to provide Ukraine with a batch of long-range anti-ship Harpoon missiles to protect cargo ships exporting grain.
