Egypt bought large volumes of Ukrainian wheat at the tender on January 28

Egyptian State Agency for Food Purchasing GASC at an international tender, held on Friday, January 28, purchased 420 thousand tons of wheat from the Black Sea region.

This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to Refinitiv Agriculture.

In particular, it bought 60 thousand tons of Ukrainian, 60 thousand tons of Russian and 60 thousand tons of Romanian wheat, which will be shipped from March 5 to 15. Some 120 thousand tons of Ukrainian, 60 thousand tons of Romanian and 60 thousand tons of Russian wheat were bought, and shipped March 16-26.

Ukrainian wheat was purchased from Nibulon at $326/ton FOB and from Inerco at $328.77/ton FOB. The most expensive at the tender were purchases of Russian and Romanian grain at 329.65 $/ton FOB.

At the previous tender on December 29, 2021 GASC purchased 300 thousand tons of French, Ukrainian and Romanian wheat.
