EU sets February import quotas for Ukrainian wheat and barley

The European Union has set a quota for imports of Ukrainian wheat for February at 77,833 tonnes in accordance with the tariff quota scheme (TRQ).

This is evidenced by the data published by the European Commission, reports “ProAgro Group”, referring to Reuters.

According to these figures, only until the end of 2022, Ukraine could supply the EU within the duty-free quota of 1 million tons of wheat, after the EU has already granted permission to import 69,597 tons of Ukrainian grain in January.

The EU also approved imports of 1,210 tonnes of Ukrainian barley for February after 19,570 tonnes allowed for delivery this month.

As in January, corn imports to the EU were not considered under quotas for Ukrainian grain as it is open to duty-free supplies from all countries.
