First UN chartered ship with grain leaves Yuzhny for Ethiopia

The first vessel, chartered by the UN World Food Programme with the grain for Ethiopia – Brave Commander – has left port “Yuzhny” in Odesa region.

This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov, “ProAgro Group” reports with reference to UNN.

Brave Commander left the seaport “Yuzhny”. I am grateful to the UN and World Food Programme (WFP) for your support and all the hard work that you have done. The cargo ship is expected to arrive in Ethiopia in two weeks,” Kubrakov wrote on Twitter.

The ship is chartered by the UN World Food Program and will be sent through the port of Djibouti to Ethiopia.

According to the Turkish Defense Ministry, as of the morning of August 16, a total of 5 vessels left Ukrainian ports with cargo of corn and wheat: two from Yuzhny and three from Chernomorsk.
