Russian freighters wait in Crimea after the detention of Zhibek Zholy

Russian vessels carrying Ukrainian grain do not dare to put out on a voyage for fear of being detained. Thus, the dry-cargo ships Fyodor and Matros Koshka have been standing idle for several days after they left the port of Sevastopol. This is reported by the journalist of “Peacemaker” Ekaterina Yaresko, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to the USM.

Most likely, the vessel is waiting for the decision of the Turkish authorities on the Russian dry cargo ship Zhibek Zholy. It was detained in the port of Karasu, Turkey.

Just to remind, on Sunday June 3 the Russian-flagged cargo ship Zhibek Zholy was detained in the Turkish port of Karasu at the request of the Ukrainian side. It left the occupied port of Berdyansk on June 30, loaded with stolen Ukrainian grain. At the same time, on its way to Turkey, the vessel indicated its port of departure as Novorossiysk.
