Sugar production since the beginning of the season exceeded 1.2 million tons

As of December 10, 8.5 million tons of sugar beet were processed in Ukraine and 1 200.7 thousand tons of sugar were produced. This is reported by ProAgro Group with reference to the information of the association “Ukrsugar”.

As reported, sugar season 2021/22 began on August 21. Of the 29 plants that have started work, a large part has already finished processing. At the same time, several plants have not been launched due to higher gas prices.

According to “Ukrsugar” optimistic forecast, this season sugar production in the country will reach 1.45 million tons with domestic demand of 1.25-1.3 million tons.
