Despite the difficult financial situation in the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine, related to the need to make regular payments on the Chinese credit, the elevator capacities of the corporation are not idle.
According to ProAgro Group, Vasily Kovalenko, acting chairman of the board of the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine, told this in an interview with the online media Business-Censor.
“Now about one million tons of grain is loaded. This is 30% of capacity. The limited financial resources prevent us from loading more,” he said.
DPZKU has 5 thousand employees, 52 elevators with total storage capacity of 3.75 million tons of grain. Among them are two port terminals – Odessa and Mykolaiv grain terminals. Their total annual transshipment capacity is 2.75m tonnes.
