Environmental inspectors carried out 189 inspections at grain elevators in 2021. According to the environmentalists’ calculations, the amount of damages caused to the environment by elevators amounted to 761 thousand UAH.
This was reported by the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine, informs “ProAgro Group” referring to Elvatorist.com.
Among the main violators of environmental regulations in 2021 was LLC “Grain Tech Agro”. The amount of calculated losses totaled 466 thousand UAH.
The inspectors detected violations of the procedure of emission of pollutants into the air and violation of rules of technical operation of gas purification plants.
In addition, “Horizon” company caused damages amounting to 183 thousand hryvnias. During an unscheduled inspection, the State Environmental Inspection found violations of the rules of operation of dust and gas purification equipment and unrecorded sources of emissions.
Also, the State Environmental Inspection found violations at nine enterprises of Optimus Agro Trade LLC during a routine inspection. The estimated losses amounted to UAH 62,000.
