In 2022 the State Ecological Inspection, its territorial and interregional territorial bodies plan to check 140 elevators throughout Ukraine.

In general, in 2021 the State Environmental Inspection received 44 appeals from citizens with the request to check the operation of grain elevators. The ecologists have denied these inspections 12 times due to non-compliance with the requirements of the appeals execution, according to the article 5 of the Law of Ukraine “On citizens’ appeals”.
Therefore, last year inspectors checked 32 elevators according to the appeals of citizens.
For example, in December 2021 the State Ecological Inspection in Volyn region conducted an unscheduled inspection of Ivanichevsky elevator “Pyatidni” in response to the appeal of the inhabitants of the village. The agency found that the enterprise violated environmental legislation and polluted the air.
