Antimonopoly Committee fined Radekhiv Sugar over 1 million UAH

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has fined Radekhiv Sugar LLC in Lviv region by 510 thousand UAH for violating the legislation on protection of economic competition, ProAgro Group reports referring to the AMCU information.

It is stated that the violation consisted in the concentration by acquisition of the control over a large part of the assets of the sugar plant in Zbarazh, Ternopil region, which belonged to the Public Joint Stock Company “Joint-Stock Commercial Industrial and Investment Bank” (Kyiv), without the permission of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

Radekhiv Sugar was fined a similar amount for the same violation, namely acquiring control over a significant part of the assets of the sugar plant in Kozova village, Ternopil region.

Earlier, in July this year, the AMCU fined Radekhiv Sugar 68 million for purchasing a sugar plant in Khorostkiv, Ternopil oblast without a permit.

Radekhiv Sugar is one of the largest sugar producers in Western Ukraine with production facilities in Radekhiv (Lviv region), Chortkiv, Khorostkiv, Kozov and Zbarazh (Ternopil region).
