In occupied Melitopol, Russian invaders broadcast on the radio an appeal to local farmers calling for cooperation with the occupation authorities, promising discounts on fuel and then access to the Russian market.
However, there are no facts of such cooperation, reports “ProAgro Group” with reference to the words of the mayor of the city Ivan Fedorov in the interview to “Glavcom.”
“But I know about this appeal of the occupiers. I also know that they shot one family of farmers who were working in the fields,” said the mayor.
Despite this, some farmers near Melitopol still carry out the spring sowing season.
“Only those who had fuel and seed supplies are working. But this is no more than 20%”, – said the mayor.
Not waiting for cooperation from the farmers, the occupiers are trying by all means to completely disrupt the sowing season in the occupied territories.
“They mine the fields and steal the machinery. Some of the machinery that was previously in occupied Melitopol is now already in occupied Crimea in Dzhankoy and Chechnya. Three days ago, they started cutting machine tools and machinery from our factories and taking them to Dzhankoy as well,” Fedorov told.
